Cumberland natives Bryan Roberts and Ryan Buttie, entrepreneurs of Luminous Creative Agency, met with Lt. Gov. Dan McKee to talk about challenges small businesses face across Rhode Island.

Buttie and Roberts, members of the Millennial Professional Group of Rhode Island, met with McKee to talk about ways the state can assist small businesses and help them become a success, according to a release.

McKee, former mayor of Cumberland, wanted to hear from the duo and their reasons for launching their company in the home state.

“We were glad to get the chance to share first-hand the success and challenges we have had as we grow our company in the state we love so much,” Buttie said.

Roberts said in a release, “We appreciate that our local government has noticed the need to assist micro and small businesses and is taking action.”

THE VALLEY BREEZE

Bryan Roberts, and Ryan Buttie “have loved the holidays since they were neighborhood kids growing in Cumberland where they built, lit and staged Christmas displays and shot their own holiday themed videos.”

Now, Providence entrepreneurs Roberts and Buttie designed and built a holiday window display called “Let’s All Help Santa,” that can be seen at 220 South Main Street in Providence.

The window will be live every night until January 9.

The scene shows Santa’s workshop deep in its toy making frenzy with the toys and gifts being prepared to goon the sleigh.

With the focus on Santa’s elves and toy making they want the window display to help encourage people to donate to Toys for Tots.

“The holidays to us is about helping others and bringing a smile to peoples’ faces, and we hope our display does just that” Buttie said.
